i LOVED,,this book!,,it had me entranced,,captivated from the 1st page,,,It was a rather quick read,,,within 2 hours,and i loved the author's journey traversing thru past and present,,,spanning many bridges,,that most of us can relate to,,on some level...we've all had a love, lost,,,,yet,,,all in all...the answer,,,ARRIVES!,,,and you KNOW,,what do you know?,,,the 'truth'...
Not your typical "Greek Tycoon Weds Poor Virgin Bride" romance story, but one that will touch you in a BIG way. There is REAL emotion written into this story. Raw and from the heart. Agreeably, hard to put down as you turn each page in search of the answers, the reasons why, the how comes. Perhaps looking for the clues to your own loss. I love that this is written from the man's perspective, something you don't see often. I found myself often in tears as I felt the authors pain and loss, as I remembered my own.
A quick read...one that will allow you to re-examine just how angry and hurt we humans get (at our selves and the object of our attraction) and how screwed up our lives can get when we're hopelessly and helplessly attracted to someone who's just plain old toxic. Most of us have had that attraction...that animal need for another body...but somehow the personality contained in that body is just the one thing that is most unhealthy for us. You keep reading because, if you are like most of us, you've been there...and you want to see what happens in THIS instance. The beauty is that the "keep reading" part takes all of about two hours, even though it spans 40 years...In the end, the author utters two words that clearly express the idea that all souls finding themselves in a similar circumstance must eventually, in one form or another, utter...read the "letter" and find out what they are....
